the following:
Preschool 4:00 – 6:00 PM
This is on a
first come, first served basis. The Hollis Early Learning Program (HELP) has
both a 3 year old program and a 4 year old program and runs 4 days a week,
Monday through Thursday. The 3 year old class meets from 8:50 to 10:50 a.m. and
the 4 year old program from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m. Preschoolers must be 3 years old
by September 30, 2011, to be eligible for the 3 year old class and 4 years old
by September 30, 2011 to be eligible for the 4 year old class. Registration for
HELP is limited and will be on a first come first served basis. To assist in
the process, please be sure to bring the following with you: proof of Hollis
residency, official birth certificate (we will copy it for you) and immunization
log. The physical exam form included in the packet must be completed prior to
their date of entry.
Kindergarten and Grade 1 5:00 – 7:00 PM
- Children must be five years old by
September 30, 2011 in order to be eligible for kindergarten and 6 years old by
September 30, 2011 for first grade.
- We provide bus service for AM
Kindergarten students for 8:15 arrival and for PM Kindergarten students at the
3:05 dismissal.
- Kindergarten sessions run from
8:23 to 11:15 a.m. for the morning session and 12:05-3:05 p.m. for the
afternoon session.
- There is also an Extended Day
Kindergarten session. All kindergarten students will be screened in the
spring of 2010, to determine if they qualify for attendance in this class.
Those students placed in the Extended Day program will attend that class in
the morning from 8:23 a.m. until 12:05 p.m. and remain at Hollis Primary
School for an afternoon session of Kindergarten.
- During registration, you will have
a chance to indicate your preference for the AM or PM session of Kindergarten
as detailed below.
Registration Procedures
- The office will begin handing out
numbers at 4:00 p.m., but will not actually begin to register K and Gr. 1
students until 5:00 p.m. Preference in the a.m. or p.m. sessions will be
granted based on the number order of registration packets received. In the
past, the first thirty registration packets received were granted a slot in
the a.m. session, if desired. Please be aware that some parents form a line
earlier than 4:00 p.m., if they have a strong preference for the a.m. session.
- All registration forms will be
available online @
www.hollis.k12.nh.us and in the Hollis Primary
School office beginning on Friday, January 22nd for incoming
kindergartners and first grade students NOT currently attending our school.
To assist in the registration process, we ask you to complete all registration
forms prior to registration night.
- Please bring the following on
registration night:

official birth certificate with raised seal
or a passport (we will copy for you)
·
proof of Hollis residency
·
immunization log
- The physical exam form included in
the registration forms must be completed by your child’s pediatrician prior to
the first day of school (all new students must have a physical within a year
to their date of entry).
Informational
evenings about our Kindergarten and first grade programs will be held at a
future time to be announced.
